MS Construction Design Review

If you are going to do your renovation. By all means, please avoid MS Construction Design lead by a person named as Andy Chan Yee Wah with mobile number 016-5522862.

He is very irresponsible. Andy Chan from MS Construction Design simply sub-con the renovation project to other indonesian contractor and he will not follow up from there. 

For the past 1 month of renovation, he only visited the site for 2 or 3 times. 

What are the problem that he caused to my house:

1. The tiling was damage due to the fact, when his worker apply the grout and the worker did not wipe away the grout after a while. It cause the cement to stick on the tiles and damage the tiles. 
• The worker used mosaic fluid acid to clean and in turns it damage the grout and causing yellowish residue to sitck on the grout.
2. The armoured cable was short.
• Unable to reach the MCB box
• Unable to reach the autogate connection
3. The pillar was built with uneven design. 1 big and 1 small.
4. Increase the price after initial price quotation has been agreed for the fencing. I asked for fencing done in aluminium powder coat. He said ok. But after gotten the project, he said the price quoted is without the frame, if want frame need to add RM 1000. What the xxxx !!!!
5. Charge me RM 350 for the mailbox which only cost RM 50 for the mailbox cover. I have asked for a redo the mailbox with a little roof covering the outer mailbox to prevent rainwater from sipping in. He promised that he will find out, but in the end he simply get the indonesian worker to get a cheap mailbox cover costing RM 50. What a dishonest bastard from MS Construction Design.
6. Charge me RM 600 for waterproofing a 4x5 concrete area by merely applying a layer of waterproof solution. Not until I complained, he instructed the worker to render the cement on the floor to smoothen it.
7. Request for additional payment even after quotation has been agreed on tiling the outer wall. 
8. After the construction work completed, he did not pay his worker. In turn his worker kept calling me to help to talk to this bastard Andy Chan from MS Construction Design to pay his worker.
9. The fencing does not follow the pre-agreed design. Colour is wrongly delivered. He even threatened me to remove my fence and put back the original fence. What a gangster.

So by all means, please avoid this bastard Andy Chan from MS Construction Design.

Apparently he own another optical shop. So do not give business to such dishonest people. He is a "gangster" and not an entrepreneur. 

Bawal Power Sempoi, Teras Jernang, Bangi

Went to Bawal Power Sempoi, Teras Jernang, Bangi for lunch. After hearing such a good recommendation, I've decided to pay a visit to this restaurant. 20 mins drive from Puchong. 

First impression, wow look at the crowd, it must be damn good.

The queue alone, took me 1 hour ++ just to get the dishes that I want.

I got 

1. Grilled giant squid (sotong) with petai sauce (petai no where to be seen in the sauce)

2. Bawal (pomfret) masak asam pedals

3. Bawal goreng

4. Deep fried Giant sotong.

5. 4 rice

6. 6 drinks 

7. Some ulam

All above cost me RM 87.

Price wise is quite reasonable however taste wise is rather just ok. Nothing spectacular.

1. Grilled squid is rather tasteless, under seasoned and slightly raw.

2. Deep fried squid is overdone, too hard.

3. Asam pedas is ok.

4. Bawal goreng is nice. However if you look into the oil used to deep fried the fish. Your appetite sure will got turn off. The oil is so BLACK !!

Food: 2 /10

Hygiene: 2 / 10

Price: 7 / 10

Service: 1 / 10 (took me 1 hour ++ just to get the dishes and no one come clean up the table. I have to find my own dulang and clean it up myself)

So my personal view: Not worth a try.

How to register for primary school in Selangor?

1. Go to http://apps.moe.gov.my/esppsel/.

2 . Fill in the form, you will need your child MyKid card.

3. Pick a school from http://www.moe.gov.my/jpnselangor/jkict/indexTS.php, for instance I wanted to find school with name "Sin Ming". Make a note for the PPD and the school address.

4. Once you have successfully registered, you will be given a PIN. This is for you to login again to your registration to amend or check for status.

5. Remember to print out the completed form by clicking on "Cetak" at the bottom.

Duration for registration: 1 March to 30 March every year

Eligibility to register: Child is currently 5 years in that year. Meaning at most you can register your kid 2 years in advance.

Supporting documents needed:

1. Birth certificate (original & photocopy)
2. Both parents MyKad ( (original & photocopy)
3. Marriage / Divorce certificate (original & photocopy)
4. Utility Bill (TNB/Water) (original & photocopy)
5. Completed registration form printed.
6. Self-addressed envelope address to your child's name. (4" x 9" envelope ONLY with 60 cents postage stamp)
7. Surat Hak Penjagaan/Perintah Mahkamah, where applicable (original & copy)
8. Doctor's report & Kad Oku, where applicable (for special children) (original & copy)

Result:

• Scenario 1:

- current year, 2012 (child is 6 yrs old)

- child expected admission is 2013 (7 yrs old by 2013)

- result will be out by Aug 2012

• Scenario 2:

- current year, 2012 (child is 5 yrs old)

- child expected admission is 2014 (7 yrs old by 2014)

- result will be out by Aug 2013
